9/11

I remember that morning so clearly as a new young mom.I sat stunned watching the television trying to make sense of the airplane that flew into the first tower.

When I watched the second plane hit it seemed like I was living in a horror movie because it seemed so surreal.

I remember hearing the noises and needing to get answers that nobody had. I remember when a newscaster got emotional on the scene and people all started to pray together. I remember flying shortly after and knowing things the way I knew it had been changed forever.

20 years later we have a greater perspective. I have loved reading and being reminded of all the heroism that happened on that horrific day.

I have been back to Ground Zero three times and I still get so emotional every time. I am so proud to be an American. I will #neverforget!
