My February Book Club recommendation is “The Boy, The Mole, The Fox And The Horse” in a bestselling illustrated book by Charlie Mackesy.

This book was given to me for Valentine’s Day and I love the sweet messages it portrays. The author says, “I hope this book encourages you, perhaps, to live courageously with more kindness for yourself and for others. And ask for help when you need it – which is always a brave thing to do.”I love the honest questions from the little boy to his new friends. Some of my favor quotes in the book are…“

We often wait for kindness… But being kind to yourself can start now.” said the mole.

“Often the hardest person to forgive is yourself.” (I felt this one super deep!)“ tears fall for a reason and they are your strength not your weakness.”

“When have you been at your strongest?” asked the boy. When I have dared to show my weakness. Asking for help isn’t giving up.” said the horse. “It’s refusing to give up.”

“Don’t measure how valuable you are by the way you were treated.” said the horse. “Always remember you matter, you are important and you are loved, and you bring to this world things no one else can.”

What are some of your favorite quotes and take a ways from this book?
