Book Club: “The Spiritual Physics of Light”
My March Book Club recommendation is “The Spiritual Physics of Light” by Aaron D. Franklin.
The moment I saw his work phone I unveiled a deep darkness of things I knew existed but never had to understand. My protection for myself was to go numb. But it also inhibited me in feeling the good.
When he moved out a fog was lifted in the home. He was often gone but even in his absence there was a contentious feeling looming. I took it on as my responsibility working to change. When it left with him I knew it wasn’t mine to own.
This book is a very scientific explanation of how light effects us everyday.
The book describes “Light is everywhere. It gives us vision, keeps us warm, and facilitates life…However, light is not just a physical concept.”
“Franklin provides an accessible way for us all…to learn how we see, feel, and know truth—which is, of course, light.”
I am a firm believer that we all are made up of light and darkness. I know I have worked hard to feed and grow my light. I feel we all have choices we make every single day to add or subtract.
When someone is contributing so little to their own light they start taking it from those around them. They also feel good being around those that do have light.I have since learned I need to protect my light from those that want to feel it, be a part of it, or take it without putting in their own work to add to their own personal light.
This book describes how God is light and God is love. Once I allowed myself to feel it really hurt but I also feel the strength of prayers and the angels around me too.
“It is the love of both the Father and the Son for us that made the Atonement of Christ possible, and the Atonement is the ultimate manifestation of the love of God. Christ’s Atonement makes the Light of Christ possible, effective, and powerful. It is because Christ “descended below all things” that he is able to “be in all and through all things, the light of truth.”
How do you recognize light? What do you do to donate to grow your light?
