I had an unexpected tender mercy today. I was already hoping and praying to be prepared for any quarantines up until today and then with the earthquakes in Utah this morning I did another triple check of just how prepared we really are. The kids and I knelt in a circle as I offered a family prayer to assure our protection and safety with a calm heart. I prayed for angels to watch over us and others, especially those that may not have what they need. We have had several family and friends check in to make sure all is well and we are so blessed. But in my honest heart and my mind thinking of extreme worst case scenarios, I was emotional knowing I am a single mom responsible for my people. I had to stay calm and collected for the kids while I was somewhat scared and worried on the inside about the unknowns and my ability to protect and do all I need for them.
Later today I heard a little knock on my front door. There was a box containing some earrings I had ordered some time ago to replace one I had lost because the children gave them to me at Christmas. I had long forgotten about this order and when I opened my box there was a note saying “Worth the Wait!” Inside was a bracelet and it’s explanation of my guardian angel bracelet gift. I can’t help but think of all the times I got this was a time I needed to know the guardian angels are there the most!

I love this painting “Agony In the Garden” by Frans Schwartz because even Christ needed a comforting angel at one of his darkest times. I am thankful for this gift reminder of exactly when I needed it that we are not alone and God is aware of us all. I can imagine my mom making a little magic happen from heaven working through others to let me know she is here and I am not alone.
I pray we can all reach out to someone to see how we can offer them love and support and that we can all be angels to each other in addition to angels on the other side. I love seeing all the good in others when things get chaotic. I hope we can focus on the positive that can come from a potentially difficult time.
