“One day you will tell your story of how you overcame what you went through and it will be someone else’s survival guide.” – Brene Brown

Today I celebrate four years of sharing my story. What an amazing journey it’s been exercising more faith from promptings than ever before in my life.

I didn’t know how or what I was doing but I tried to listen and follow. The strength that gave me the courage to first share was how thankful I was for those that helped me navigate my early betrayal trauma. I knew it all had been tender mercies from God and I wanted to pay it forward.

Since my first post I have had some incredible experiences and met outstanding people that have gone through some really really difficult things.

I love watching people move from a victim to being victimized. I love watching them be empowered by knowledge, truth, understanding, boundaries, hope and knowing their story.

I have been blessed with several opportunities and interactions because of what I went though and how I can empathize and relate.

I have learned about and become a part of a community of healing and hope I never knew existed. I have become a confidant to friends and people in my community to support their privacy but that still feel the betrayal trauma and need the right resources. I have cried and laughed with strangers and some of them have become my dear friends.

I was scared and hesitant to share but I felt if I can help just ONE person…it was worth it. I was once that ONE person that needed help and answers too. And in the process of sharing I have grown and healed in ways I never knew was ever possible.

Thank you to everyone for your continued love and support in my journey. Thank you for sharing my story with others so I can help them. Thank you for the continued prayers for my family and me. I am so excited about where my new path is taking me and the hope in my healing that has helped me experience pure joy.

Do you know your story? Have you ever shared it with anyone before?
