“One Line A Day” Journal

My Book Club Recommendation for November is the “One Line a Day Journal” that consists of lines to record and become a 5 year memory book.
I was given this while in the thick of my life being turned upside down and weeks after my first big D-day. My dear friend gave it to me for Galentine‘s day because she knows how much I love to journal. She really hoped this could offer me a way to start with a clean slate. I hesitated to share even with myself how I was doing but I still began Feb. 15.
At first my entries were short with effort in trying to find gratitude for the day. I even included putting a smiley or frowny face by each entry to sum up and keep track of how my day had really gone.
I love reflecting now on my new journal in almost my seventh year and how far I have come! It is visible proof of the progress I have made and the hard work I’ve put in. I love that now I’m to the point I have more to say than the lines allow me. I love seeing my growth and the reflection of so many more amazing days than were even possible while I was naive and still married. I love knowing how different being married to Mark is just in that he that he chooses us. We are so present and productive.
I also recommend this journal because when we put pen to paper it puts us in our frontal lobe and we think clearer. This helps me recognize and understand my truth better than when I’m triggered or in a moment of a lot of emotion.
It’s still not too late to set a goal to write and record your life. It’s also a perfect gratitude journal. You can get this book on Amazon.
How often do you take time to journal? Have you ever had a gratitude journal?
