My new path has taken a lot of new twists and turns. I look around at so many people I know and love and we all have our heartaches and trials. Life can be so hard at times for everyone.

I am so thankful for a dear friend that reminded me how God was mindful in her life at a difficult time. She and her husband experienced infertility for years. With it also came anguish and not understanding why. Her path seemed frustrating, unfair and as if God was not hearing her prayers.

In a path parallel to hers was a girl that was carrying a baby that she wanted to find a safe and loving home for. Both lives running side by side on the same timeline with different trials and heartaches. Yet months later their paths merged as my friend was able to meet and adopt her baby girl.

God was mindful of them the whole time. He was just making preparations for them to be answers to each others prayers.

I know there are days my path is bright and I am thankful for the people who’s paths I get to merge with that enhance my life. As if our own dark times have helped prepare us to collide with certain people to offer love, strength, compassion and courage at the right time…in Gods time.

I love this quote from a 13 Century poet, “Sorrow prepares you for joy….Whatever sorrow shakes from your heart, Far better things will take their place.”

I am so thankful for ALL those that have crossed my path in life. There are so many new amazing people I continue to meet. It is easier to appreciate the ones because of their positive contributions but I am who I am because of the hard ones too.
