This Spring we visited the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. I loved seeing the Survivor Tree in full bloom.

The Survivor Tree is a living sign of hope, resilience, survival and the ability to endure and rebuild after unimaginable loss. It is a symbol across the world and at times also been referred to the “tree of hope.”

The Survivor Tree is a Callery pear tree found amid the rubble of Ground Zero in October 2001, alive but severely damaged, charred and with battered bark among the debris of the World Trade Center.

It was rescued and nursed back to health in the Bronx. Under their care, the tree recovered, grew from eight to 30 feet tall, and began to bloom again. It was then returned and replanted at the 9/11 Memorial plaza in 2010.

Mark and I felt especially drawn to this story because of our own journeys and how finding eachother is part of the beautiful rebirth and growth in our lives.

We are also so grateful for the many tokens and people that helped give us the faith and confidence that we could rise up stronger and better out of the ashes. Mark is one of my many miracles that remind me every day that God sees and knows me.

AND, I am beyond thankful to be an American! God Bless the USA!!! 🇺🇸
