Using Your Voice
I am so grateful for all the resources out there available to help support, educate, validate and encourage me as I have strived to learn and get some clarity. I am thankful I now get to contribute personally.
I am thankful for those that shared their stories on social media, podcasts, in books and in private therapy led groups and also spousal support addiction recovery meetings so I knew I wasn’t alone.
I am thankful for those that felt inspired to reach out and share words of wisdom to me privately.
I am thankful for the scientists and researchers that work hard everyday to understand trauma, betrayal trauma and addiction around sexual behaviors and are proactively getting the information out to help society better support, understand and treat it.
I am thankful for all my amazing therapists that have helped me at different times to navigate my new life especially as I began my journey in finding relief.
I am thankful for the volunteers in addiction recovery meetings and mentor lead groups. I love the opportunities I have had to share, speak, record, write, mentor and empathize with many as I am still healing myself.
I love seeing how God is very aware of us individually and how we can become a community of supporters within eachother bonding because we share our same heartaches and trials making us all individually stronger. I love knowing that because of these amazing resources there is so much hope in healing.
