My August Book Club recommendation is “The Mindful Self-Compassion Workbook” by Kristen Neff, PhD and Christopher Germer, PhD.

Before my big D day I knew what self compassion was but not really how important it was. I had heard of mindfulness but had never deliberately practiced it before. Now those two are some of the most important daily routines I work through.

I love how this workbook asks different questions and scenarios that help the reader process through different layers of self compassion and progress moving into self appreciation to embracing the good.
