BYU Life After Divorce Conference
I am so excited to be a presenter at the BYU Life After Divorce Conference November 4-5.
I will be speaking on “Understanding and Managing Betrayal Trauma in Divorce” with my counterpart Jeannie Spear.
Part of the “shattered world” of Betrayal Trauma are the feelings of little or no self-worth. Our presentation will give you resources and methods to help you regain your self-worth. We will also discuss how becoming physically, spiritually, emotionally, financially, educationally, and socially self reliant are crucial to the healing process. We will explain how PTSD contributes to confusion, anxiety, anger, and an inability to focus due to changes in our brain from a spouse’s betrayal. Healing and improvement are slow yet possible. With steady growth, we can bring hope and joy back into our lives.
